Charity Football Match - 27th April 2014

Castle Donington Football Club held a charity football match at The Spittal in Castle Donington on Sunday 27 April 2014 to help raise funds for the Joseph Cooper Trust.

There was a fantastic turn out to watch the Castle Donington Vets team play a Select X1 with the score ending up 5-2 to the Donington Vets.

Well done everybody who turned up and braved the showers and a staggering £400 was raised.

We would like to thank Ray Lees and Barry Marcer for all their efforts in putting the two sides out, Adrian Boyd the Chairman for presenting us with the cheque and the Jolly Potters for arranging the post match food.

Thank you to every one involved and lets hope we could make this an annual event - from the JCT team.

Family Fun Day -19th April 2014

On Sunday 19th April 2014 a Family fun day was held at the Plough Inn Diseworth to help raise funds for the Joseph Cooper Trust. A lovely sunny day saw a large turn out and we managed to raise £500. Our thanks goes to Anna Groves who put a lot of time and effort in arranging the day and I know was quite worried that it may have been a flop! But it turned out to be a wonderful day and well done and thank you Anna.
